Pros

- 401k matching at 6%. - 9/80 work schedule. - Okay benefits, 15 days vacation time to start, bumps to 20 days after 5 years, and capped at 25 days at 10 years.

Cons

Buckle up, this is going to be long. Most of what I am writing here, you can see for yourself on the SEC 10K filing for Spectra Energy. 1. Executives will cut bonuses for employees by 25% and increase their own to 199%. Their reasons for this bonus "Hard work". Essentially, cutting bonuses from their employees to increase their own payouts. 2.Yearly raises will not match inflation. Again, this is done so that the executives can increase their year end bonus payout. 3. Complete lack of transparency. If you call the accounting department asking for clarification as to how bonuses are calculated, and why there was a reduction in pay when the company valuation went up, accounting refuses to answer. 4. Not only was the executive branch absurdly over paid this past year, they are also releasing a large amount of salaried employees. Again, executives collecting bonuses that could have been used to keep loyal employees employed. 5. Lack of loyalty as is clearly evident above. For the not so serious stuff: 1. Departments do not work together, instead they work against each other, withholding information, and refusing to work together. 2. Bureaucracy runs rampant, the ethics line is said to be "anonymous" and it is not at all. In-fact, shedding light on misdoings will only make your life worse. 3. Routinely, people who have family members in upper management will receive pay raises and promotions that they have no place getting. The amount of unqualified people in positions of power are shocking. I am hoping that Enbridge sees this and cleans house.
