Pros

Pay is ok, enjoyable work, fast pace, excellent benefits.

Cons

Management, likes to keep employees in fear of losing their jobs. They promote who they like based on looks not work ethic or work production.

Pros

Enbridge Energy empowers their employees. Bonuses were very good each year as well. From an IT prospective they really go with good solutions that are technologically effective and very efficent and lower operational costs through the process. Management is always positive and gives lots of positive feedback. The level of respect each individual is given from supervisor and his supervisor is high. They are very flexible with schedules and family also excellent pension, timeoff and 9/80s Learned a lot technically.

Cons

I felt underpaid for my level of expertise. Even with amazing reviews I was awarded very small raises (sub 3%) when the company had record profits.

Pros

Pension Plan and great colleagues

Cons

In my experience, there is a significant gap between stated values and how employee issues are handled in practice, particularly when health, safety, or accommodation matters arise. Decision-making can feel overly centralized and risk-averse, with limited transparency or consistency across HR and leadership. Processes that are presented as employee-supportive sometimes feel rigid, poorly defined, or inconsistently applied, which can leave employees confused about expectations and next steps. Communication during sensitive situations could be improved. Rather than collaborative problem-solving, interactions may feel procedural and defensive, with limited willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue or consider context. This can erode trust, especially when employees are navigating legitimate health or work-related challenges. There also appears to be a lack of clear ownership when issues cross departments, resulting in delays, mixed messaging, and a sense that employees are being managed through processes rather than supported as individuals. Overall, the culture may work well for employees who do not encounter complex or non-standard situations, but those facing health-related, accommodation, or compliance-driven issues may find the experience frustrating and isolating.
