      Pros

      Still has a direct benefit pension. Midstream company not as affected by oil and gas price volatility. Competitive salary and benefits.

      Cons

      Lack of advancement as turn over is low if you're in a department with a good manager. Large company politics and bureaucracies definitely exist. Over the top safety culture expected of event office employees.

      Pros

      Information is focused on the Liquids Pipeline Biz Excellent benefits - 1 day off per month Community focused Safety focused Pay was really good Slashed their US Safety group once the EPA and PHMSA settled over the Marshall MI spill The layoff was a trainwreck in 2015 right before Thanksgiving and Christmas.

      Cons

      Resources scattered across Canada with the US as the red-headed stepchild. Supervisors don't do their job enforcing policies and procedures. Hierarchy is complex and difficult to understand who to talk with to make change Typical Canadian passive aggressive behaviors with zero accountability

      Pros

      Amazing pay rate - the best I had so far. The manager is very approachable. You learn the job before you actually have to be on the job, which builds up your confidence and skills. There are different events for people who want to be involved with the company. They take safety very seriously. I found co-workers to be very helpful. There are different bonuses and workshops to keep you motivated.

      Cons

      Work/life balance is off. They have a very strict regimen when it comes to being on time and days off (even if you're sick). If you need to take a sick day, it's very frowned upon if you want to get hired on a permanent role. Very repetitive job.
