Pros

Enbridge compensates employees incredibly well. A range of benefits packages are available along with annual bonuses and rewards programs. There are options for upward or sideways movement within the company and I was lucky to have managers who were very supportive of that.

Cons

Some groups within the company can be very difficult to work with as they don't always see eye to eye, but in my experience this can be seen in every oil and gas company. Old and new ideas don't always mesh and changing regulatory environments can be frustrating.

I always felt like I was supported by management as to my career goals and general aspirations. I was supported both on the job as well as with my extra-curricular and family commitments.

Cons

The Calgary corporate office was quite stuffy. The forced business suit and tie dress code felt a little old fashioned and out of touch, and this extended into the general culture in the office. It was very black and white, right or wrong.
