A Culture That Values Tenure Over Talent

Pros

- Many employees have long tenures. - Strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and process consistency. - Colleagues at the individual contributor level are generally dedicated and supportive of one another.

Cons

- Excessive bureaucracy and risk-aversion slow down decisions and innovation without adding meaningful value. - Leadership concentrated in Reading, creating an echo chamber with limited exposure to external benchmarks or modern best practices. - Little understanding of the difference between performance (delivering results) and potential (capacity to grow, lead, or innovate). This results in rewarding those who “stay in line” rather than those who elevate standards or drive improvement. - Noticeable lack of diversity in senior leadership. - High performers and those who value inclusion, agility, and continuous improvement may find it a frustrating and limiting environment.

Pros

None, except if you don’t like to learn and grow you can pretty much snooze through your work days and hope your not on the chopping board as they do not consider performance, good or bad, upper management just calls respective managers up and ask them to fire the highest paid person on their team since they have to cut cost so better fire the highest paids first.

Cons

False promises, back stabbing, groupism, people be friendly so their backs could be saved some day, work doesn’t speak much its how you praise your master. They cost cut with no merit and aspire to be fortune 500 haha! Performance is t a metric when making firing decisions, its cost if your a high value individual your more likely to be fired because your costly. Everyone is at constant fear of the chopping board.
