Pros

4/10 schedule Kind team Easy work Pizza Parties

Cons

Enercon was purchased by private equity holdings about 4 years ago, they gutted bonusses and a lot of good talent left. Since then that holding company has doubled their money and sold to another private equity firm. Once a thriving ESOP is now just another business to make someone else's retirement account grow. The worst part; none of the employees who owned shares in the company had a chance to vote on the sale of the company. The CEO did it behind everyone's back using a loophole. There were a few layoffs during my time there, mostly due to failed relationships and improper planning. Upper management constantly talks about what they will do to improve benefits for the employees and never does anything. The employee comes last here and private equity profits come first.

Pros

-flexible work environment (hybrid/ flex hours), WFH flexibility is still somewhat present. -decent office spaces, nice coffee machines, lunch provided several times a month -get to work on a wide variety of challenging projects and tasks so you can greatly increase your skills as an engineer (depending on department) excellent for entry level experience and getting acquainted with different technologies and software -really fun projects -excellent work life balance -get to learn from some very experienced engineers and supervisors as an entry level employee. People are awesome and very helpful in your growth and learning. -decent training material

Cons

-Poor salary for mid-high level employees, no benefit to staying at the company long term. Raises don’t keep up with inflation. -Timesheets. As a billable resource, your time sheet will be the bane of your existence. Extremely difficult timesheet and hours management system. 20% of your job will be filling out your timesheet and asking for hours from project managers, this will be one of the MOST stressful parts of your job. -company is owned by second private equity firm. (was a very generous ESOP/ gain share program prior to being bought out, they replaced it with a 3% 401k match, ESOP was much more competitive). Have seen little change since being sold by the first company and being purchased by the second one. -Mediocre, at best, bonuses. 1-2% of salary tops as a regular engineer -overall benefits package is below market average (no paternal leave, no sick time, only 6 federal holidays, below standard 401k match)

A mess.

Pros

Can't think of much. Maybe the software?

Cons

If you like your drafting work being done by someone in the wrong discipline, this is the place for you. As other reviewers have observed: there isn't much training here. Finding documents relating to your work is one big easter egg hunt. Serious lack of organizational skills at the management level. A lot of the leads will delegate work without having a clue as to the scope of what they are delegating. No inter-discipline squad check of the drawings prior to issue. Most of the people who check your stuff will make nebulous comments where you don't have a clue as to what to do with it.
