Pros

The company used to have many pros but unfortunately during and after COVID things changed. Energy Transfer pre-covid fostered a sense of community and eagerness to see individuals succeed. I think it would benefit the company if they reversed course on the last few years.

Cons

I’m not normally someone to express my issues with a company after I leave, but I think it’s important for job seekers to know what they are getting themselves into if they accept an offer from Energy Transfer. First, which I didn’t realize until I left, was they are severely underpaying their employees. I am getting a raise equivalent to 150% of my previous salary. The 3% annual raises are not going to cut it anymore if there is no actual room for growth. Second, upper and executive management, are completely disconnected from everyone else in the company. This hurts the company because they are still operating like it’s 1980. Things change in the workplace and they just won’t adapt. Lastly, they do not believe in any work life balance. Everyone is back in the office 5 days a week after a “one year hybrid pilot program” which they cut off after 10 months. You would think after the success of getting through the pandemic (missing no deadlines) they would give their employees at lest a day or two at home a week. Nope, actually the complete opposite, they are more micro managers now then before COVID. The good ole boys club in upper management can be felt throughout the organization.
