Pros

The individual teams and coworkers are great. There are opportunities to expand your knowledge and try new things. Benefits are decent and the on-site fitness center is a great perk.

Cons

ELT seems out of touch with reality and expects employees to produce more with less. Tenure and knowledge seem rarely valued, and employees are seen as a number with a cost. They cut staff and expect everyone to pick up the pieces and you have to fight to get compensated for it.

Thank you for your review and sharing your feedback. We certainly have been undergoing significant change at Enerpac Tool Group, and this change has produced exceptionally strong results for the company and our employees, as evidenced through a strong bonus payout (reaching a near maximum payout in the most recently completed fiscal year), above average merit increases, and investment in areas that support employee development. We have also seen significant improvements in employee engagement scores year-over-year. We think our colleagues are great as well! We are proud of our team members and the work they do, and their tenure and knowledge is highly valued. As we work through our transformation, there is never a goal for employees to do more with less but we always have a goal to be better, easier, and simpler to do business with, internally and externally. We want to leverage technology, improve our processes, and get them to a sustainable and more efficient state. We focus on continuous improvement here at Enerpac, and we always look forward to working with colleagues who embrace this approach. For our HQ move to downtown Milwaukee, this is a very exciting venture for our company. The move will offer our employees a dynamic and inspiring workplace to spur strong collaboration and drive innovation. We do not plan on utilizing a boat dock, and obviously our little joke in the townhall on that topic fell flat with some people; for that, we apologize. Other exciting and important items to note about our move are that we are paying for covered downtown parking for all of our employees and we have designed our new space to include our on-site fitness facility staffed by our current in-house trainer – all complimentary to our employees. The building itself also has access to many more restaurants and cultural amenities than we currently have today. As always, please feel free to raise any concerns or ideas with your manager or HR as well. We can only get better at meeting our employees’ needs if we listen and produce solutions together. Thanks again for the feedback, we appreciate it!

Moving In The Right Direction

Pros

The company continues to transform for the better. We are getting better results, good strategy, and Enerpac is investing in its employees. They just announced a move to downtown Milwaukee, which will provide a much improved working environment.

Cons

Still a lot of change and transformation. While it is moving the company in the right direction and we are getting better results, there is a lot happening at once.

Not a great company to work for

Pros

Pay is good, Unless upper management randomly decides they want something done ASAP, work life balance is usually pretty good,

Cons

Arbitrary return to office policy with no common sense. Unorganized management. Everything is about profit, no one cares about doing things well or the right way. No transparency and proactive communication about what's going on at large or within teams. Teams are pitted against each other with differing goals and no one wants to help you or work together.

Thank you for acknowledging that we pay competitively and that the work/life balance at our company is good. We agree! Our goal is to create a collaborative, innovative and engaging culture for our colleagues to work in. We have chosen to require three days a week of in-office presence in order to help foster our culture, support the transformation, and increase the sense of trust and teamwork with local and traveling colleagues. We have many teams that are global, and when colleagues need to connect in off hours to their time zones, they flex their working days and times to accommodate. We also allow employees to choose the three days that works the best for them. Like other companies, we are trying to strike the right balance on this issue and there is no one size fits all. Please have a conversation with your leader or your HR partner to help us learn in more detail about the lack of transparency and communication that you are seeing. We truly do want to help all employees understand and feel connected to our purpose and feel successful in achieving the goals that they and their teams are working on. Thank you for your comments.
