Pros

If you are looking for a job where all you have to do is submit "safety observations" and fill out a timesheet, look no further! The engineering team, both R&D and manufacturing, are easy to get along with. Culture is fine. The Milwaukee office, while cramped does feel modern and was a pleasure to visit. You get the vibe that everyone is just working with the cards they have been delt. When someone offloads something on you, you can see it in their eyes that they do it out of desperation, and there is a little bit of solidarity in that.

Cons

Senior leadership. For most of them, including the CEO, this is their first big-boy job. They all appear to freeze whenever a decision needs to be made. Almost every project I have worked on has been cancelled due to "market concerns". I have noticed that most of the leadership team seems to be perplexed at the concept of a hydraulic tool. Their knowledge seems to span into the realm of an electric tool, such as a drill. But the second the word "fluid" is brought up, they seems to be uncomfortable. If you want to actually create products that make an impact on the market, Enerpac is not worth your time. Engineering time and talent was not valued. Purchasing, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and even IT would request that we do part of their job. Need a part for your project? Write and submit the PO yourself! A product that released 10 years ago is having issues? Stop what you are doing and solve the issue! You need help setting up a local server for validation testing? Do it yourself! Enerpac is woefully understaffed. It is so bad that most people count on their projects being cancelled. This has made most employees lethargic. After being here a year, most realize all they have to do to not get fired is show up to the office. Making the "leaders in innovation" sentiment a big inside joke. Final "CON" being the classic bait and switch. Most roles were marketed as Hybrid, only to have a return to office mandate enacted in June 2025.

While we always appreciate constructive feedback, we feel this is inaccurate, misleading, and does not fairly characterize the quality of our many excellent employees. We wish your experience at Enerpac Tool Group would have gone better for you.
