Wonderful Wellness program, and onsite work-out facility. Actuant also has a Personal Trainer onsite, pilates, yoga and spin classes. Free if you go 4X a week!

Highly profitable with strong market leadership Lots of opportunity to develop. Big company business acumen in a mediums sized business

Cons

The business has traditionally been used as a free cash flow engine to help fund acquisitions. This has at times led to over-optimization and embrittlement of the organization.

Pros

Your first 3 years you will be challenged and if you are good, you will be given a lot of opportunities. Eventually you will find that small group of managers at the corp level "pull all the strings" and if you are not in the "club" you will find that will not matter how good you are you will hit a wall.

Cons

Small group of "Leaders" run the show no matter what your title is. If you are bought by Actuant start looking for a new job or take the package. They are currently brining "Leades" from other companies, in reality failed Managers from GE, IR and other Milwaulkee based companies instead of growing the talent in the organizations they buy.
