You learn a lot about XML, UML, Crystal Reports, T-SQL, SSRS, DB Management, Requirement Gathering.

Cons

The management will constantly give you more responsibilities, constantly push and set unrealistic deadlines. Late nights are frequent, and a must if you want to advance.

The salaries are above what one might expect

Cons

The office culture is insular with little interaction; the management is secretive and does not share information necessary to do one's job, yet they require constant status updates which may be frequently ignored. The number of employees who leave within one to two years is excessive. Some employees are required to fulfill duties of positions for which they were not hired and have no expertise.
