Pros

-Anyone below the director level is a hard worker -Pay is alright, but they use it as a shackle, refusing to pay you until you agree to pay them back upon departure. They even require you to pay for training they mandated you receive!

Cons

- The company lies to you about what position they are hiring you for -Their only solution to a problem is to throw more bodies at it; they have started to encounter situations where that doesn't work -No one in leadership can communicate effectively leaving everyone from analytics to front-line staff in disarray on a regular basis.

Ensemble Health Partners Response

I agree that Ensemble associates are very hard workers. They consistently deliver phenomenal results for our provider partners. As for our leaders, I would invite you to shadow one of our VPs for a day (whichever one you like) to get a sense of just how hard they work too. Given your remarks, I am certain you would be quite surprised - we have very high expectations of our leaders. To your comment about our position descriptions, given that you have been working with us for more than a year, I would hope that you had expected your role to adapt and expand. Ensemble is the type of organization that people come to to grow. We provide an environment that fosters the development of our associate’s careers as we need our front-line workers of today to become our leaders of tomorrow. If you are wanting a job that stays the same every day, year after year, you maybe don’t want to be with the fastest growing company in RCM. Yes, the bonuses that we pay include a forward-looking timeframe requirement as an incentive for an associate to stay with us. We invest very heavily in our associates and we use these bonuses as a way to protect that investment. To be clear - we pay a competitive wage that is free and clear the instant it is paid, it’s the bonuses that have the incentive element. You may want to speak with your manager to get clear on your understanding of our comp structure. To your comment about adding people to meet our challenges: certainly we have been hiring at a rapid pace, but that should be a given considering the rate at which we are adding new clients. In addition to hiring great talent, we invest in training, machine learning, vendor partnerships, automation, artificial intelligence and platform infrastructure all to ensure that we are using our associates time in the most intelligent and efficient way possible. Also, in no instance and under no circumstances do we ever require associates to pay for mandated training. To assist you with this issue I’ll need to understand what you are referring to with your remark. Please contact me (even anonymously, if you must) to help me understand what training you think you are being made to pay for. Finally, if you genuinely think your leader is incompetent, do something about it. Talk with their leader, a VP or come talk with me - ShareWithShannon@EnsembleHP.com. I certainly don’t want incompetent leaders, but I need to rely on our associates to have the courage to stand up for what they believe keeps our company on track for its greatest potential. I hope to hear from you soon.

Great Culture & Caring Leadership

Pros

I've been working at Ensemble for a little over 6 months now and feel so grateful I finally found a job I can see myself in for a long time. It's been hard for me to find the perfect combo of a rewarding & meaningful job, a company whose values align to mine and they actually stick to them, and leadership that not only cares, but proves it through their actions.

Cons

I truly don't have any cons about my job or the company to share. Ensemble is one of those rare places where you truly get what you put into it. If you want to grow your career, work on a passion project or prioritize work/life balance - you can and the leadership will help you make that happen.
