Entrust doesn't proactively tackle problems; it waits for issues to become untenable, then reacts to them. The security breach and the divestment of the certificate business are excellent examples of senior leadership dragging their feet until issues can no longer be ignored.
Career advancement is based more on tenure than skill or productivity. Though the CEO is vocal in his support of diversity and inclusion, in practice there is very much a "glass ceiling" that excludes or disenfranchises minorities. Some groups are fantastic and supportive, but they are slowly being phased out in favor of more discriminatory structures.
