Cool place to work, most of the time

Pros

Basically your own boss, can work from home, semi-laid back atmosphere (depending on what project you're on), really great people, fast growing, rarely boring

Cons

Very long work hours (depending on what project you're on), bad benefits (no 401 matching, little in the way of time off compared to other companies, expensive insurance), little guidance from peers, it's kind of sink or swim, doesn't seem like very competitive salaries

Great growth industry in a bad economy

Pros

Incredibly challenging work, fast growing company, good team to work with. These are quality people doing good work in a demanding environment.

Cons

Long hours, little appreciation, company needs come first. The company is very client-oriented, almost to an extreme. Growth has come at such a fast rate that the corporate culture has not developed naturally but is rather dictated by client needs.
