Pros

I love working with my Team, and everyone here seems very knowledgeable and willing to assist in every way possible.

Cons

As an African American, I still feel as if, no matter how qualified we are, we still have to scratch and claw our way for a promotion, only to still be ignored, especially when it comes to the ELTeam . It's extremely hurtful and discouraging to say the least.

Pros

Many colleagues are talented and try to help one another.

Cons

C level leaders are destroying what was good here. If it does not help the team or the clients it makes no sense. Morale is lower than ever and people are leaving to go where they feel valued. They will learn this will take the company under water. Can't replace the talent very easily and word gets around it is a bad place to work.

Pros

Good benefits. The flexible work policy is a sham; your future is in one person's hand - your line manager. Senior management does not care or have no idea about what is happening at associate writer level.

Cons

I was stuck with an unethical, narcissistic line manager. I was interviewed by a wonderful person initially. Suddenly, I was told my strengths would be best utilized in another group. But, that was not the entire story; I sensed that this new person I was given was perhaps not easy to work with. My gut was right. In the initial one week itself I sensed so many horrible things. I was told that I cannot write to anyone in the company without my line manger's knowledge, even to HR; I cringed. In my 15 years of work experience all over the globe, no manager ever told me I have to talk to them before I reached out to HR. I felt like I was in a solitary confinement and my interaction was with one person (95% of my time spent in the company). Finally, I was smeared with a mistake on my face, and the truth was nicely covered. I felt very concerned at the unethical standard. I spoke with my professional advisers, they strongly advised me to immediately resign and made me understand the toxicity in the work environment. Luckily, I do have few emails that I forwarded to myself which can act as strong evidence if I ever have to defend myself. I am glad that I am out and free.
