Growing company, but toxic culture

Pros

Excellent growth prospects, the company has carved out a leadership position in a growing industry , and it's staying ahead of the competition. Building strong safety culture, pockets of talented people. Founders and leadership get credits for positioning the company where it is now. Company offers good benefits.

Cons

Unprofessional treatment of employees. Employees are only used, never valued or empowered. Inability to delegate authority; all decisions have to go through CEO. Clunky, bureaucratic, unclear decision-making processes. Management style based on intimidation, not collaboration. Rosy reviews are likely written by HR. Best people end up leaving for better opportunities and less toxic environment.

Above average pay Above average benefits They really do put safety first, and even a plant manager involved in an unsafe act has been fired.

Cons

The culture they promote is not the one they live. Many departments are falling apart and there is no move to improve the situation. HR, Operations, IT and Accounting all have bad morale and revolving doors. No trust and getting worse.

Cons

Leadership absolutely does NOT walk their talk. Excellent spin doctors. Salaries at top are over compensated for size of company. Unprofessional treatment of professionals. ALL decisions go through the CEO. Unable to delegate authority and manages through fear and intimidation. HR weak and led by inexperienced puppet of CEO. Arrogance pervades the senior staff and deaf to suggestions. Proof is extremely high turnover rate. Odd for a growing company that should be offering growth opportunities.
