Pros

The bonuses and opportunities for a motivated individual are pretty competitive. The availability to work extra overtime is nice for those of us who need it. Overall the process reliability has been getting better. On the production plant side there seems to be a fairly good relationship between management and production operators and maintenance.

Cons

I am not sure that the previous corporate management has accounted for the shortfalls of their facilities fragile infrastructure when releasing production expectations, it’s been refreshing to see some of the fat trimmed in the corporate office. The facilities were hastily built and its evident corners were cut to cut cost that have caused a plethora of unscheduled downtime and unplanned troubles. The process has a way to go in development before it’s completely streamlined

Pros

There are a lot of amazing people at Enviva. In the past, the high growth environment has meant that there is a lot of upward mobility in the company. Pay and benefits are competitive overall. The leadership appears to be making an earnest effort to turn the ship around, and the company could be in a better financial standing in 6-12 month. If you're willing to work through the growing pains, you can do well here.

Cons

Enviva has had a lot of operational and cultural issues that have been festering for a while and have lead to a poor financial performance in 2023. Excessive spending has allowed costs to run rampant and have lead to recent cuts and a reduction in force. With all of these challenges, the culture can feel very negative at times. Turnover has been a problem in both corporate and operations. Enviva still has high growth potential in the future, but overall it feels like a very unstable place to work at times.
