Pros

- great salary - great benefits - very talented colleagues who will help you make it through - Great to have on your resume

Cons

- Toxic management only manages up versus coaching/managing their team. - Extremely long hours that are consistent, especially when you are on big public-facing projects. It is the 'norm' to work 50+ hours. - No work-life balance. - Upper management is an absolute joke, and they don't care about their staff. They wait to look at anything until the last minute and then change it all, so people have to crunch due to mismanagement. - Overqualified people are put in jobs with long hours that don't give them any satisfaction, just a lot of work. No perspective for promotions unless you play the political game well. - Everyone thinks they are a little bit too awesome

Pros

You ship a lot of stuff. Great people, for the most part.

Cons

Craft is not prioritized. Hectic. Chaotic senior management with changing and conflicting direction.

Pros

The benefits, compensation, and job stability are outstanding. most of the projects you work on are interesting.

Cons

The execs want the company to do everything all the time and want it done in a timeframe that isn't possible with how poorly resourced most of the teams are. Mediocre performers are often given chance after chance to continue their mediocrity because having a butt in a seat is more valuable than not having them.
