Company is successful. Compensation is fair.

Cons

Most support falls directly to development teams, which makes progress on current projects very difficult. Some managers understand that this impacts schedules but most seem to ignore that fact. Infrastructure is week, systems are very slow and problematic. Integration of the multiple companies that Epsilon has purchased seems to cause this. Training is not provided, you will need to train yourself.

Pros

The Lafayette office still has a small-company feel, as projects and teams are small. Most of the current employees at this location are from the Abacus and Online teams. During busy times, food is often provided for client-support roles, and also for anyone having to work outside of normal business hours for special projects or events. Lots of opportunities for community-service involvement, including charity fund-raising events, and Habitat for Humanity (for which the company will pay your time off).

Cons

Now a very large company, composed of many different divisions which were formerly separate companies that Epsilon has acquired over the past 8 years. The result is that corporate-level integration of communication and IT infrastructure isn't fully baked yet.

Pros

You will certainly be exposed to a lot of Oracle and unix script development. Good place to brush up on your skill set.

Cons

So called teams are just people supporting the same customer but doing very different things. No sharing of knowledge between developers on different teams. I felt like I was on my own most of time. Most contacts were "working from home". Whole days were spent without actually talking to a co-worker face to face. Health insurance is expensive and not very good.
