Pros

Over my 3 years at Epsilon India, I consistently delivered strong performance and played a vital role in several high-impact analytics and data science initiatives. I was regarded as a key contributor and trusted team member, often going above and beyond to drive value for both internal stakeholders and clients. However, in the latter part of my tenure, I faced several challenges that ultimately influenced my decision to move on. Although I was offered a promotion, it came without any increase in compensation — a gesture that felt more symbolic than substantial. At the same time, I was going through a difficult personal phase, and unfortunately, the management response lacked empathy or emotional intelligence. Instead of support, I often felt undue pressure and scrutiny. Moreover, as someone from the LGBTQ+ community, I found the team environment — particularly in the India office — to be less inclusive. While professionalism was maintained on the surface, there was a noticeable lack of acceptance and understanding at a deeper level. The culture remained largely old-fashioned, and subtle biases were often present, whether in conversations or in social dynamics. This created an added layer of emotional strain, making it harder to feel a true sense of belonging. The internal dynamics within the Client Analytics Data Science team had also shifted. A tight-knit inner circle of senior managers and directors emerged, and contributions from those outside this group were increasingly sidelined. Favoritism became more apparent, including the hiring of spouses within the same team, which further undermined morale and trust. Eventually, I made the decision to resign — and it turned out to be one of the best moves for my career. The open market responded positively to my experience and capabilities, and I transitioned into a new role that offered both better compensation and a more inclusive, growth-oriented culture.

Cons

2 days work from office.
