      Equifax, one of the worst places to work in America.

      Pros

      The actually aren't any. Equifax is over 100 years old and is not a progressive company willing to adapt to the internet age.

      Cons

      Being publicly traded they are all about the share price and cutting costs. All decisions are based on whether or not management will make their bonus metrics and not what is best for the company. Employees are not assets, just expenses that must be tolerated.

      Pros

      Great job stability / security. Many, many long-time employees. Pension available for long-timers. Workload is light most of the time. Pay scale is competitive. Hours are flexible. Some employees can work from home some days.

      Cons

      Some positions are being outsourced / downsized. Market conditions for the company are not good at the present time. Different divisions conflict with one another and provide inconsistent direction.

      Pros

      Where I work is a good group of peole and was kind of like a family. New management has come in and started making their changes. I've been through my fair share of change but the new management style has a strict chain of command and does not want to deal with you if you haven't followed the chain.

      Cons

      This is a new management team to the finance area after being acquired. New management works as a "click" and if you're not in the click it will be very hard to advance. At this point, there is unsteadiness in the dept.
