      Career Defining

      Pros

      I worked for Equinix for almost 4 years and it was a career defining experience for me. Equinix is the leader in their space because of their focus on excellence. That focus goes into everything they do. Great people who are passionate about doing what's right. Great leadership. CEO rocks.

      Cons

      In my group there was a lot of change in leadership and the organization which was distracting. It was a little concerning in that there was not clear idea on when things might settle down. Sometimes it took longer to get things pushed ahead. There wasn't a good sense of the culture which might be different now.

      Good Money, Solid Company

      Pros

      Growing, solid company. As long as there is an internet, there will be Equinix. They pay above average salaries.

      Cons

      Red Tape, Lots of consensus needed just to make a simple change. Difficult product to understand if you're not techy.

      Pros

      The check never bounce and great pay and great benefits

      Cons

      You work either 12.5 hours days or 12.5 hours for the night shift. It doesn't even matter if you worked the last 5 years for Christmas and Thanksgiving if your shift falls on that holiday you are working. You cannot take PTO for holidays. That is rough when you got little kids at the house. Steel toe shoes , guess they are scared you going to drop a SM or MM fiber cable on your foot, lol.
