      Pros

      Growth story, strong positioning in the Cloud and data center space, has good solid, bright smart people, a lot of them sticking around for the growth/stock appreciation.

      Cons

      Too many C-Level executives for this size, spend a lot of time competing against each other. Net result is layers of people doing "busy work". Too many networking people in the DNA of the company to let new technologies come to fruit.

      Being at the right place at the right time!

      Pros

      I followed an old manager, not really thinking about what the company did, it was more a close commute that worked for my part time hours. How lucky did I get, from I walked in I realized this culture of continuing success was right where I wanted to be. Did I mention I lucked out Since Equinix most recently was named on the Forbes list of Fastest Growing Tech Companies, the Deloitte Technology Fast500 and the InformationWeek 500 list of top US technology innovators. Equinix was also added to the NASDAQ-100 Index, which is composed of the 100 largest non-financial stocks listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market based on market capitalization. Did I mention I laugh everyday at work!

      An internal view of working in the Stock Services department at Equinix

      Pros

      Stock Services is a highly respected group within Equinix and employees love our RSU and ESPP programs. We have a great team of business partners to work with from Tax to Legal to HR and Payroll. Standards are high but hard work is rewarded. We are expanding the team to 3 beyond myself as Sr. Director of the group. We endeavor to do things right the first time as error fixes tend to be painful. Our employees are very self-sufficient but we make every effort to help them out where we can. Great people and culture, an ethical tone at the top, and tremendous success in the marketplace are probably the greatest assets of the company overall.

      Cons

      Equinix is going through growing pains and is no doubt overloaded with growth, change, systems initiatives, and a sudden wave of M & A activity all hitting at once. It can be a little challenging to be "new" at Equinix because you have to hit the ground running and there's so much going on. Of course, these are "high class" problems in a sense because the company is doing so well, but these are challenges nonetheless.
