Pros

Company offers a great compensation package for commissions. A lot of flexibility is offered because at the end of the day, it is your business. Some branches have great leadership/management. No income limitations.

Cons

Some upper management can dwindle your encouragement in the business. Very limited support. "Go figure it out" model. All prospecting is on you, very little help getting leads. No training other than Equitables digital training platform. For first year advisors, salary and commission route is low compared to other companies. 100% commission route is tough in general, especially without a good manager that would be hands on.

Pros

Some friendly co-workers that were very good at what they did. Many of them were not be trusted and had no choice whether to work with them or not.

Cons

This is a MLM insurance company. Management only cares about making money on new hires so they;re constantly recruiting. Once they have made all their money on their natural market they’re recruiting the next group. Rinse and repeat. They don’t take care of their existing advisors and very few make it through their first years since they have to validate and they set unrealistic expectations. The only ones that make it are friends and family of management. My manager didn’t check in on me in over a year while I was there.

High risk role as the pay is 0 until you get clients.
