      - Performance pressure was constant and suffocating - Expectations for speed, upselling, and flawless presentation were impossible to meet - Staffing levels never matched the demand - Every small mistake was blown out of proportion - Feedback focused solely on metrics rather then offering real support - The focus on image and output crushed any sense of sustainability - Relentless pressure ;ed to burnout and extreme stress - Positive aspects of the environment were completely overshadowed

      Pros

      there's essentially a trauma bond with the cafe associates. if you are friendly with everyone, then you can survive every shift and even have fun sometimes.

      Cons

      since there are so many associates, it can get cliquey including with managers and supervisors. again, if you are friendly and social then you will be on everyone's good side. if you're on someone's bad side, expect your shifts to feel like hell on top of the already demanding customers and food service you have to attend to.
