Pros

Solid company with amazing benefits! Management team is extremely sharp and intelligent - all very highly educated. Advance degrees are held in high esteem and people are encouraged to seek out additional training or schooling. When I was there they were still offering tuition reimbursement and discounts at local universities.

Cons

Very flat structure. A bit of a pro, but people stay here for a Long time, which means if you want to move up, it's going to be after someone retires or leaves. If you are trying to advance into management you had better go in as a manager.

We are happy to hear you had such a great experience. We proudly still offer tuition reimbursement and award several scholarships each year to Esri employees.

Great people, low pay...

Pros

Love the energy and enthusiasm of the people working at Esri, whether it be the regional offices or in Redlands.

Cons

Over the years, there is little to no real bumps in salary and has been known to hover merely at 1-3%, roughly on par with cost of living in some areas, but below cost of living yearly increases in major metropolitan cities. To stay competitive and retain smart staff,, Esri should consider a more robust compensation package.

First and foremost, thank you for your 10+ years with us! We agree that some of the best perks of working here are the flexibility and Esri's contributions to both our local community and the GIS community. Remember an HR rep is available and interested in discussing your career development concerns or any challenges you are facing.
