Pros

Job stability, they literally don’t fire anyone ever. Which sounds great until you start to realize it also means you’re stuck working with extremely below average individuals.

Cons

Hard to grow, they’re very specific about who gets promoted. Extremely uneven distribution of women in management. The pay is well below average, even after years of working for them, especially for women.

Pros

Esri has some pretty good benefits. -They have a pretty good low deductible PPO health care plan that they pay the premium for, it's the best healthcare plan I've had at a job. -After a grace period, you're eligible for profit sharing that gets put into your 401k. This is alongside the 50% of 6% match they do for the 401k. -Lots of PTO and holidays. It's like 40 hours sick leave, 12 holidays, and 10 hours accrued of vacation time a month. The work environment is very relaxed. -Generally working remote is allowed, and lots of people do it or hybrid. -The DC office is pretty modern and nice, they have basically offices for everyone it's cool. -I never feel stressed to work on something in time Secure position -They've never had a layoff -Many people work at Esri for many years. I think for the area, the salary is reasonable.

Cons

-Their HQ if you work there is kind of in an area I don't like, Inland Empire,CA. But that's just kind of my opinion. No good cities, too hot, too far from LA. -There can be a lot of communication issues at Esri between teams, some of that may just be due to the pandemic. -Some work can just really vary team by team.
