Pros
This is the best company to work if you are in the GIS industry. The technology is cutting edge and they keep on rolling out new capability on their product. The team is small and agile. My manager is such a nice guy that he keep a lot of talent developers in the group happy. The compensation is decent and given the living standard in the local area is not as high as LA. The benefit is great, they paid all the medical insurance and can give you up to 4 weeks vacations if you work there for more than 10 years.
Cons
The company is located in a very small town. So there is not much to do during the weekend in town, however, you are only 1-2 hours away from the pacific coast , san digeo, palm spring and the mountains. The commute to and from the office is getting worse as more people move into the inland empire. The smog in the summer sometime can be harmful. The style of the management is pretty much top down but they do listen to what employee's suggestion. The career growth path is not very clear, there is not much hierarchy in the company structure, they run the the company in a more network model, so you are literally 3 level away from the CEO.
