Pros

Pros: friendly and international environment. Life-work balance. Lot of trainings.

Cons

Consensus driven Company, with no empowerment at single level: you do not take any decision, even for small things. As a result, 90% of the job is to set up meetings and execute inputs you get from others. No growth opportunities even if you perform more and want to emerge as an individual. Tendency is to hire people from outside rather than allow internal resources to grow. You are part of a process and hired only to “execute”. Can be very frustrating for motivated, proactive, entrepreneurial managers.

Pros

I've been with Essity for just over one year but it's been the best career move that I've made. There's a great culture that's not at all hierarchical meaning that very senior management are approachable and always happy to help. I never feel like I can't give somebody a call or send them a message if I need to ask something. The attitude to work-life balance is brilliant. Realistic workloads mean I can get my job done during the day and then it's home to the family.

Cons

As is the case with many large companies, things can progress slowly because of the number of stakeholders involved. But that's life at an international organisation with 20,000+ employees.
