High stress for good benefits
Pros
The benefits are great comparing to the local job market, but that's about the only positive aspect I found working at Essity.
Cons
Highly unstructured and stressful work environment. You don't really feel the benefits or support of working for a multinational corporation as the responsibility level and diversity of work you will have to do is more comparable to working at a start-up. There's also little concern given to the definition of processes and methods and job-training is an after-thought. If you're competent and helpful, everyone will ask you for help with anything and everything, whether the topic is related to your role or not, as everyone's responsibilities are poorly defined and there's little respect for people's time or boundaries. Given enough time you will accumulate different workloads and responsibilities without ever being asked or given notice and without negotiating any sort of adjustment in compensation. Managers are very unaware of their teams' workloads and responsibilities and most of the teams' tasks aren't accurately (or at all) reported so that hiring adequate numbers of staff can be deemed unnecessary. Most employees are unhappy with the limited remote working days, as most of the work can be done remotely, but upper management shows no flexibility to review the hybrid work policy.
