      Pros

      Raises were consistent and every three months. 9$ plus commission is pretty good and you could make decent money if you sold a lot.

      Cons

      High turn-over rate for employees. Too much pressure to sell products. Drama in the work environment. Lack of respect for employees

      Pros

      Everything is mapped out for you, a script for everything! A lot of Corporate support! Very goal oriented which is great, I feel it's something the spa industry lacks.

      Cons

      All individually franchised so earning can vary greatly as a manger from location to location. Corporate recommends the franchisee pay manager between $30-$40 a year, but in Texas few locations do. Unless you work for corporate in Florida, their isn't much room to grow with the company.

      High pressure sales

      Pros

      -It's a cool place to start your career as an esthetician IF you feel your specialty is in hair removal. -Amazing coworkers -You get hourly plus commission and tips (good and bad)

      Cons

      -Comission is super low. -Hourly is very low, so on a slow day you are making LESS than the legal minimum wage. -They pressure you to pressure guests to purchase a product or wax pass -If sales quota isn't met you are in danger of losing shifts -Sales quota is too high -15 minutes for a Brazilian bikini wax is doable, but not on EVERYONE -I have had 4 different managers in the two years I have worked there -Last manager was culturally insensitive (I guess that would be a personal issue though) -Was told by manager that "you are expected to stay in your rooms during free time and practice SCRIPTS" -EWC is pretty much a Supercuts for waxing, with that said don't expect such a high class clientele.
