Pros

Excellent company culture and values Better-than-average hourly wage (for entry-level retail positions) Interesting venues and people Enthusiastic managers (at my location)

Cons

Low skill/wage ceiling with little chance at serious promotion Little freedom to travel/take time off Sales leads often become complacent and do little selling Managers will imply you are disloyal if you aren't 100% available Not everyone takes the company values seriously

Pros

The venues are very interesting - museums, aquariums, and zoos (among others). And, there's the ability to transfer locations if moving. Feels unlike working for a corporation and more as a continuation of the venue. Because of the venues, the work is fun. The upper management (as in the CEO, etc) are personable and the store "culture" is fair and balanced. They seem to practice what they preach.

Cons

The lower management (as in Store Directors and their assistants) are unmotivated. They don't practice the "culture" message of EN. HR does not side with the employees - even those who have reliably worked for EN longer than the management.

Pros

I guess the only Pro would be it helps you realize your worth as an employee and how you deserve much better.

Cons

Managers could careless about you and the effort you put into this company! I've been working for this company for 4 years and have seen a lot of corrupt things going on. There is no advancement in this company i stood at the sale position title for 4 years and yet know more then all the sales leads and cashier leads. They hire unqualified people into the higher positions and expect a sales assosicate to train them when they should be the one promoted!!!! Honestly one of the worse companies to work for its full of shady business. Managers and store director don't do anything except be on thier phones and try to be your friend then talk behind your back and talk about other employees infront of you and laugh about it. The managers only care about you selling the PWPs and when you do go above and beyond they don't care.
