Pros

Commission structure - the company rewards the hardest workers (able to make a lot of money) Work life balance Being able to control your own schedule The job itself - going on lots of happy hours and lunches (you NEED to like talking to people for this job) Work environment is fun Management is there to help you succeed and wants you to do well - always available to help Transparency within company Promotion based on performance not politics

Cons

Base salary is low and it will take some time for you to start making meaningful commission, this role is not meant for someone who wants to hop in day 1 and start closing deals. This role can require 1 or 2 years to fully get into the swing of things, but once you do the earning potential is almost unbeatable.

Pros

I didn’t know much about staffing when i started with Apex a few years back. However, what I found out was eye opening to say the least. There was a whole industry that I knew virtually nothing about. I came in thinking I was a "head hunter.” I was dead wrong. I have had plenty of jobs in the past. This isn’t that, this is a career (for me). What’s the difference you might ask? A job is when you get up, punch in, and punch out so to speak. Apex is a place where I am genuinely excited to go into work every day and a place that I can build a career. Does that mean that every day is awesome? No of course not. Every role has ups and downs. The difference in my mind is that the leadership at Apex is there to help catch you when you stumble or make a mistake. They will work with you to help you grow.

Cons

This job isn’t for everyone. Some people can’t do it, but the vast majority of people that don’t work out; just plain don’t want to put the effort into doing it. Its hard work, there are many calls with candidates and clients and the conversations range from great to terrible. That’s what keeps the role interesting, two days aren’t ever the same. Some days you’re going to be a little stressed out or be down on yourself; every person deals with stress a bit differently and that is something to do in this role. Stick it out; the first 18-24 months is tough. Nevertheless, when you a starting a new career that’s what it takes to become an expert in the field. Make aggressive mistakes and work to make yourself better each and every day.

Pros

Great company to start a career with leadership and promotional opportunity. Rewarded and recognized for work ethic. Opportunity to build character and demonstrate professionalism in a highly competitive industry, with management support every step of the way.

Cons

Daily grind to hit numbers and perform, but compensated generously for it!
