Pros

Unlimited earning potential, internal database that is second to none in the industry (I've worked for bigger companies), and company outings - i.e. - awards luncheons, holiday parties are well put together!

Cons

Very competitive environment, if you don't like that sort of thing.

I can't tell you how much I regret taking this job

Pros

Benefits are decent, but still far from the best especially if you have dependents. "Free snacks" if you're really into all of the cheapest things you can buy in bulk.

Cons

Did you get a job offer after a couple brief interviews? Did they sell you the idea of a six figure income with zero experience in recruiting? What they don't tell you is that this company has one of the worst reputations in the recruiting industry and turnover is astronomical...A few months after I was hired the vast majority (70%+) of my colleagues were either let go or quit. They tell you wonderful things about all of the uncapped commissions but the fact of that matter is that they've burned so many bridges in the tech industry that it's hard to ever successfully get your foot in the door. As is mentioned in other reviews of the company, managers are just recruiters who bring in a certain amount of money...which means they're often inexperienced managers who may or may not even want to be in charge of their own team. Because of this, there's a ton of micromanagement without much opportunity for actual learning. Your managers run their own recruiting desks and don't have much time for you, so you're basically managed through reports, which don't necessarily translate to commissions for you if you're not an exprienced recruiter. Oh, and rules. Tons and tons of rules...like no headphones while you're doing hours and hours of mindless data entry into spreadsheets, no use of your personal phone during specified hours, management hovers around the floor to make trouble if recruiters aren't in their desks at random intervals. You lie on timecards to make it look like you took a lunch when you didn't actually feel like you could leave your desk. And that's only the beginning...they more or less demand 12-15 hour days. All while not even offering an actual base salary. If I had it to do over again, I'd never have taken the job. It doesn't pay much at all and it is the worst culture I've ever experienced.
