Challenging but rewarding

Pros

-Uncapped commission. You can make a ton of money if you work hard. -You have access to amazing technology. The ATS is pretty slick. Coming from another recruiting firm that didn't have great tools, it's something I appreciate. -My manager does not micro-manage. He helps if I ask, but he doesn't hover over my shoulder. -You’re not limited to geographic territories or industries you can work in. It's nice to be able to work wherever you want with whoever you want. There's a lot of autonomy in that respect. Really refreshing if you're from a place that limits you to only doing business within certain markets. -It’s full-desk recruiting. Since you’re managing the entire process from start to finish, it’s less likely for deals to slip through the cracks. -Free snacks, awesome dinners for qualifiers and events like the holiday party. -The people are cool and generally helpful. It's motivating to be around other people who are driven and competitive.

Cons

-There's a learning curve when you start and it can take a while time to ramp up. -You really gotta work to be successful. If you’re lazy, this is not the place for you, but if you're willing to put the work in, it can be very rewarding.

Not the best experience

Pros

Nice offices with coffee and snacks.

Cons

My manager lacked integrity. You will be working on a draw salary. If you do not produce you will be fired or asked to leave willingly. Very stressful job!!! It's imperative that you have a good manager for this role.

Pros

HR does its best to create a fun and relaxed company culture. Unlimited vacation since you're essentially working for free.

Cons

Oh man, where do I start... - For some reason, CC is on an archaic draw structure. You are given a very small draw, which basically means you have to place and have the client pay the fee on time within 3-4 months. I've seen many talented recruiters with a lot of potential leave the company due to factors relating to this draw that are out of their control. - Upper management is rude and promotes harassment. We had a halloween party where a certain prominent manager in our company decided it was okay to dress up in a culturally insensitive way while making fun of minorities during a skit in front of the entire company. Sexual harassment is rampant and overlooked. - An entirely automated system that is built to essentially spam the living hell out of everyone in the US. I'm not even kidding, so many people do not take us seriously and cuss us out over email/LinkedIn due to CC's illegitimate business practices. - Some of these illegitimate business practices include emphasizing quantity over quality, sending out candidate resumes without their consent, lying to clients about candidates and vice versa, and encouraging employees to lie and cheat during the recruitment process. Overall, I truly cannot stress enough that you should avoid working here at all costs. Do you notice all the positive reviews that are nonspecific and posted around the same time? Yeah, that would be management trying to boost their reputation here on Glassdoor because all the legitimate reviews are negative.
