Cons

Pay is completely tenure based, not based on performance which breeds mediocity. Mgmt talks about transparency, but it doesn't really exist.

Pros

The benefit package is very good. Management was not looking over your shoulder. Could self-manage as a group. Back in the 90s it was a great place to work.

Cons

No reward or recognition for a job well done. Upper management makes decisions of great impact without consulting the workers actually doing the job.
