I worked here for almost 2 years. I left because of a hostile work environment; management was combative, swore at the team in meetings, condescended the managers below them in front of other employees, and constantly talked down to our department and other departments. The department is dysfunctional and no one of higher management is ever available. Lots of back and forth on processes, no one ever really has an answer for coders or auditors, and many of the workflows are counterintuitive. Multiple HR complaints were filed while I was there and nothing was done. Coders were required to work overtime (is that legal? Unsure), were not allowed to take PTO and were constantly chastized on group meetings. Horrible, horrible culture and I am so glad I left.

Management does not care about their staff, lack of support. Very unsafe situations in labor and delivery such as not having hemorrhage medications available. More than half the staff are travel nurses. Turn over rate is high. Lack of breaks. Nurses secretly recording staff meetings and leaking to the media, with no investigation to learn who leaked it. Doctor that has physically aggressively touched nurses remains at this hospital. Lack of PTO.
