Good benefits, do not keep up with technology

Pros

Relatively good benefits Supervisors are pretty layback and mostly nice

Cons

Not much room for professional improvement (best practices and technology wise) Awful working areas and equipment Almost every developer is below average (knowledge wise) Low compensation Does not have (or try to create) a techie culture

Pros

20 vac. Days and medical plan are good. Parking available and 401k plan provided. Free coffee and majority are friendly co- workers.

Cons

Work load overwhelming. On call required after 8 HR shifts with results in Burnout and mental stress. Old school management from the last century prevails in many areas.

Competitive salary (locally). Gym is ok but can be better, basketball court is good, cafeteria is expensive and food isn't good. Great co-workers.

Cons

Poor life and work balance. As a developer, you might be programming only 10-70% of your day. Work on weekends and nights - double shift. Building is kind of old.
