Pros

Occasional freebies, if you are one of the in-crowd who consistently gets called on for product giveaway drawings. These are inevitably rigged so that new hires feel lucky at getting called first, before the same list of people who are in the company's good graces. Rolling accumulation of time off is nice, however one needs to plan one's illnesses carefully, otherwise you don't get sick days.

Cons

Morale is non-existent. No raises in 6+ years. Departments are territorial, and turnover is high. As a result, any interdepartmental alliances that have been formed have been replaced by ignorance and inexperience lurking behind passive aggressive tribalism. Collaboration is non-existent. Too much focus on short-term goals rather than long-term investment in staff and facilities. Management plays on people's sense of loyalty and desire to "do good in the world" and uses it to their advantage. No telecommuting (even though in some positions it would be completely reasonable to allow for it). No real chances for advancement.

Pros

Straight talk from managers but with sensitivity and encouragement.

Cons

Could be a little more active with explaining company goals and future direction.

Pros

In the beginning this was a great little company. The owner knew all the employees by name. Seemed to have a general interest in everyone. The pay was good for the time as were the benefits.

Cons

Fast forward to now... Owned by an equity firm that could care less about the people and more about getting THEIR money. Wages are terrible... No raises in over 6 years unless you get promoted and that is rare. Good people being let go left and right. Benefits are terrible and expensive.
