Pros

I worked on the oilfield and transport, contracted to haul off ground cuttings, manufactured mud, centrifuge etc.. The company men and the type of roughnecks they hire were all pretty amazing. Had a great time. A pro would be that they offer their employees heated and cooled restroom. Chesapeake never cut corners as far as I could tell. The old saying goes there, you're only as good as your employees are. good pay!

Cons

Long hours away from home. they run a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule for their hands and thats a long time to be away. other than that no other cons.
