Pros

WLB so far has been really good for me. On call rotations can be tough sometimes (am in infrastructure) but otherwise there's a lot to learn. Salary is pretty good for location and coworkers are solid. Pretty good learning opportunities to with access to latest tech in infra space.

Cons

Job stability is decent but rumors of layoffs and occasional contractor or job post freezing can be a tad unsettling. Engineers overall feel that leadership can be quite bureaucratic leading to some poor business decisions. As an early career engineer I don't really feel the impact of this.

Pros

Reasonable pay, nice campus, flexible hybrid work

Cons

The "strategy" is just a series of revenue-based OKRs. No one actually cares about traveler experience. All strategic projects have been canceled for short-term profit. Offshoring is followed by layoffs, which roll from department to department. McKinsey is currently evaluating for more layoffs. Promotion opportunities keep shrinking, including policies around tenure periods before eligibility for the next level, regardless of actual contributions. Lots of cronyism at upper management levels.

Pros

Travel bonus International environment - lots of people from all over the world with open hearts and minds. If you are lucky you will join a team with good and professional supervisors and managers, if not check the cons below. Hybrid work Average salary

Cons

Constantly changing processes, most of which don't work, so there's a workaround for everything. Schedules even for going to the toilet No career progression HR is always against you Management may take your idea to make it worse and still use it against you - for example, now they will use all the languages an agent knows without increasing the salary, even though the agent was hired for the position with one language. If you haven't had any luck with a manager or supervisor, get ready for some real bullying with HR support. Mistrust from management - this is why agents have to be on a hybrid model, even though in the covid era we could all be working from home. Nepotism Inclusion does not work at all in this company. I'll just add that a lot of people, really good people who knew their job and enjoyed it, have left because of these things described above, what's left has gone into management without knowing what it is and that's why it looks like school.
