Pros

* Great benefits package * Pretty much only work 40 hours a week * Interesting technical problems * Great people * If you do a good job, they will recognize it * Sounds silly, but very comfortable chairs and clean office * I don't dread coming to work * Management is easy to talk with

Cons

* Pay could be better * Vacation policy is horrible * Bureaucratic at times * Not a big deal, but could do without the neck ties

Pros

Company is very stable and secure. Never made any layoffs in over 30 years. Benefits package is decent, which includes transportation to work.

Cons

All male employees must wear a tie, even the developers who never see clients. When you get a promotion, no raise comes with it. Many supervisors and managers seem to be yes-men. Explanations of why new policies have been introduced are extremely poor. Lots of smoke and mirrors.
