Pros

Work with some big names and decent clients Mature teams with good experience and good culture between consultants/back-office staff Some really good managers who will go the extra mile to make sure you have the right tools to succeed

Cons

whilst there were some pros to working here, there were also quite a few cons which in my opinion outweigh a recommendation to consider working here. Few examples are: - people put on performance improvement plans if blanking 3 months in a row, irrelevant of performance YTD. One instance where someone who was technically on track for target/promotion on invoiced was out on a PIP for blanking 3 months. - accounts will be moved around to other teams if they start to turn out to become successful. This happened to myself and there were quite a few internal battles between management and directors to try and move the account back to our team. - process on terms of business/sending invoices is very slow. Wasn’t allowed to agree TOB with a client until the legal team reviewed them, which took 2 months and the prospective client lost interest. It also took 6 months to send out a fee for one placement and 3 months for another. There was then an error on the system which meant whilst the invoice was raised, it wasn’t actually sent until the following month which resulted in commission being delayed. There was also no flexibility from the Director to look at paying this on the initial month, despite this being a fault with the system, and not of my own. - commission scheme isn’t the best, if you’re 360 there’s a £7k threshold which is exceptionally high in the current market and the thresholds aren’t as competitive as a lot of other recruitment companies out there. Delivery commission schemes are a bit different with a flat %, the same % is paid out on any new business deals as well, so there isn’t much incentive to do NB. In summary if you are looking for somewhere with a mature working environment and to work with some reputable names this would be a good option. As I said there are some good managers and most of the people make it quite enjoyable. But there are definitely far better options out there where you can make just as much (if not more) money, where you won’t just feel like a small cog.
