Pros

you get to keep stuff that guests leave behind, free water bottles, friendly staff, pretty straightforward, not customer facing

Cons

lady who trained me advised me to quit asap, no breaks, maggots in the house laundry room, have had to stay after my scheduled hours to clean, expected to do up to 10 rooms on my own as the only housekeeper available, guests are racist to me, very little training, management is oftentimes nowhere to be found, short staffed

Pros

The interview process at Extended Stay America was by far the most refreshing one I've experienced. It was so much more than the typical, cookie-cutter questions; it felt more like a conversation where they genuinely wanted to get to know me and my skills. They provided valuable insights into the role, which helped me understand how I could fit into the bigger picture. It truly stood out to me as a transparent and engaging experience. Once I joined the team, the culture at ESA exceeded my expectations. The level of inclusion and teamwork is unparalleled. Different departments work hand-in-hand to ensure everyone is on the same page, which creates a dynamic and collaborative environment. It's energizing to be part of a team that genuinely cares about each other and the company's success. Pros: Transparent and engaging interview process Collaborative and inclusive culture Cross-departmental teamwork Energizing work environment Not forced into selling programs to hotels; instead, I can truly focus on what's best for our franchisees

Cons
