Pros

If you are interested in learning the business, this is the best place to start. They do not hold anything back and each day brings something new. Also very high opportunity to grow in your hospitality career as many options are available across the country. Great incentive plans and very competitive wages if placed in comparison to the rest of the market. Company is about putting people first, great benefits and partnerships with charities.

Cons

Lean labor motto. Each role has to hold their weight to the fullest in order to achieve maximum results. With the morale and low work ethic now a days, it can be tough to build the right team.

I have worked for the company 17 years. I have witness all the changes over the years. I enjoy working with my associates and being a leader for them. Having the opportunity to meet guest from all over.

Cons

Sometimes the dealing with unreasonable guest. We are in the public eye and sometimes no matter how hard you try they are just not satisfied with us.

Pros

While working for most companies, you don't get to interact as much with the team in the corporate office. However, with Extended Stay America, meeting the corporate team is part of your training process. They make sure you know that they are there to support you. Extended Stay America is just one big team working together to achieve the same goals. They realize that a huge part of having a successful business is to engage the entire team, and they do a great job! Also, they have many opportunities for growth. Promoting from within is something I see a lot in this company.

Cons

No cons in the 2 years I have been with the company.
