Form real Relationships With Guests-since they're generally staying for an extended period of time. Get to cut your teeth right off the bat; learning the hospitality industry through trial by fire.
Cons
Company doesn't believe in Raises for Hourly workers. Lead Housekeeper makes minimum wage despite having several years of experience and a demonstrated strong work ethic. High turnover, at least at my location, causes poor guest experiences and damages employee morale. Operations become way more stressful than they need to be. Short term guests (less than 7 nights, usually the weekenders) frequently complain about amenities-grab and go ( light) breakfast, no daily Housekeeping. Don't seem to understand that extended stay means extended stay.
