Weak Technology leadership

Pros

Good work environment with great people. Reasonable work life balance. Most teams work well together. Benefits are ok but barely competitive.

Cons

Executive leadership is more interested in Financial Engineering than they are in technology leadership. Decisions being made are to achieve short term financial goals and are not preparing the company for a sustainable future as a innovative technology company. Salaries are not competitive with other technology companies.

Unstable Company with no direction

Pros

free coffee, and i will continue to type because i have to write at least 5 words for the Pros section

Cons

no direction, no road-map, no cost of living or merit raises unless you're at a VP level. The company is all about maximizing the board member's profits, and that would be ok if they knew what they were doing. Their stock has been decreasing for 14 years and they don't seem to realize that something is wrong. in the last 2 years they bought a company and ran their product line to the ground. and in that time had three massive lay-offs. Not a company i recommend if you are looking for security and growth. Every day there is talk about someone leaving

Pros

Front line staff are all very nice and supportive.

Cons

The channels team at Extreme is an afterthought. They talk about being channel focused, but the reality is there is such a lack of resources, funding, support, and understanding from all c-suite leadership and the new sales leadership. Leadership is bipolar about decisions with what is needed and has resulted in multiple layoffs and turnover of good people. HR is a joke and so is their leader. No support whatsoever and very inept for a company of our size. They preach DEI and that's it, but don't go to them for help with issues or concerns since you are basically talking to a wall. Culture was once good, but you have a CTO who basically runs the shots, a CMO who isn't aligned to Sales, and a CEO who let's the top leaders fight it out with the Sales team.
