unlimited PTO (w/ approval) above avg benefits above avg pay

Cons

budget cutbacks everywhere - unless you're in the right department. top heavy - too many sr. managers & directors telling people what to do often with conflicting instructions. individual contributors doing the work do not get recognized or appreciated. Zero opportunity for career growth - unless you joined from acquisition.

Good people, interesting work, free beer on Thursdays.

Cons

Mandatory weeks off/shutdown in December and on 4th of July week. No PTO/Vacation Time (for accounting reasons), but you can take time off, just need to clear it with your manager. The downside is that you never really have any free time (always busy, aggressive release schedule) to take time off.

It WAS a good company to work for and benefits were good.

Cons

Not sure where to start. Passive aggressive manager- that manages based on fear (FYI....that is not sustainable). Leadership seems like they are losing their minds. Buy Aerohive...why? Now 4-5 wireless platforms....brilliant! Whack a Sr VP to save BG’s job because of a crappy Q3. PLM can’t get their act together because they all feel tied to their product and if you speak up, you get whacked. People are not aligned for the right reasons. Extreme is a sinking ship at this point.
