Pros

Fantastic work-life balance as there is no work.

Cons

Management has no idea about the future of the company. All they care about is the stock price and if the stock goes down, they announce a layoff.

Pros

Decent salary, nice commute, lots of autonomy and flexibility with work schedules.

Cons

Little to no advancement. Lots of unchecked sexism. Very stingy with pens and log books, never mind things we really need.

Pros

Great engineers. Honest, helpful, reliable, hardworking people. It was a pleasure to work with them. Tech stack - company is using latest products and frameworks, which helps to learn new technologies and get new skills. CEO (Ed) knows his job and has impressive plans to grow company portfolio. Good RRSP and ESPP.

Cons

Disclaimer: there is no uniform company culture. Environment highly depends on project manager, some teams are better than others. Work-life balance: long extra hours without compensation, constant pressure. No sick days. Mandatory Christmas shutdown. Some managers do not treat people equally and favor reporters. Managers remember all bugs (even small ones which were detected by QA before release and not delpoyed in production) made by engineers, but forget all contribution to the project and long extra-hours. Many project managers have no techincal knowledge.
