Pros

Great working experience and a nice team spirit. Glad to be part of an spiring solution provider!

Cons

Too many changes in organization and function which lead to changes in strategy. This makes it hard to focus an a certain direction and improvement within the department in the long-run.

Great place to work

Pros

By far, the best part of working at Extreme are the people. At the Salem site, you come to work feeling like your spending time with friends working towards a common goal. In addition, Extreme shows that it values its employees with a generous stock option program, bonuses, and raises. There is great work/life balance with the ability to work from home. The new executive staff has done a much better job being transparent and they foster a team atmosphere, where new ideas are encouraged. All in all, it's a place you can feel proud to work.

Cons

With all of the growth, it can feel somewhat chaotic and it's always busy, but it's an exciting time to be with the company.

Heading in the Right Direction

Pros

The current outlook of the company is something to smile about. Hard work pays off. Resources have been limited over the past few years and it's amazing to see what each department has accomplished. At the end of the day on Thursdays, kegs and games are rolled out into the cafe where everyone gathers to eat, drink, and mingle.

Cons

A lot of highs and lows over the past 4 years. Major layoffs from the Enterasys acquisition. Grew too quickly in the past year. There was very little help to achieve this success, which lead to no work-life balance – 3 acquisitions in less than a year. Unclear requirements in regards to career pathing, raises, and future growth. Upward movement tends to be a mystery and can become political, especially at Extreme's new size. Definitely getting better. Revenue isn't the only thing growing – starting to open up new positions to help achieve departmental goals for the overall goal of the company.
